Deadline for this form is Monday, January 4th at 5pm. After that you’ll have to try your luck and see if we have open spots on a crawl-by-crawl basis. Fill out this form to express interest in which crawls your organization would like to be a part of in 2016. Below the form you will find descriptions of each event, including expected attendance, number of bars we will be including and what theme and history the event has. Below that we also have sections for what we will be expecting from participating bars for each event and how our new signup process works.
Once we know all of the bars who are interested, we’ll create routes for the events and send out annual contracts to each bar so that everyone knows what events they are on and when deadlines are for payment and map info. This new process will streamline the sign-ups for participating bars and help us put on better run and bigger and better promoted events than ever before.
PLEASE DO NOT DELAY IN FILLING OUT THIS FORM. Once we choose our crawl routes you may not be able to add your venue and we expect each crawl to fill up fast. Especially if you are interested in the Mardi Crawl- we will be filling that crawl up as soon as possible.

Mardi Crawl on January 30th
- Expected attendance: 1,500
- Number of bars: 12
- Fee: $200 ($150 after selling 10 Cups)
This Mardi Gras themed event is a first for Crawl Reno! Since the festival is everyone’s last chance to get all their sinning in before Lent, it’s perfect for a Reno Crawl! We’re planning on a bead hunt that will drive participants from bar to bar all night. So far the response has been incredible with tons of people clicking “interested” and “going” on Facebook. Hotels aren’t packed that weekend either so we’re getting great rates to draw people from out of town.
Leprechaun Crawl on March 12th
- Expected attendance: 6,500
- Number of bars: 30
- Fee: $350 ($200 after selling 30 cups)
This one is the fastest growing bar crawl in town and will soon reach the size of Zombie Crawl. Last year we sold out even though be bought more cups than we needed- it keeps doubling in size.
Pajama Crawl on April 30th
- Expected attendance: 2,000
- Number of bars: 15
- Fee: $200 ($150 after selling 10 cups)
This is the third year for this crawl and it’s been growing. We’ve also moved it to a warmer month which we expect will draw larger crowds and give participants more options for their costumes.
Epic Crawl & Light Saber Battle on May 21st
- Expected attendance: 1,500
- Number of bars: 12
- Fee: $200 ($150 after selling 10 cups)
This one is our new Sci-Fi/Fantasy crawl. We’ve been asking our participants what new event they’d like from us and overwhelmingly this is what they asked for. It’ll include costumes themed from TV, Movies & Video Games and this year we’re giving it a Star Wars theme. In addition to the crawl we’re selling super cheap light sabers and starting the crawl off with a massive “battle” downtown. It’s going to be EPIC.
Pirate Crawl on August 13th
- Expected attendance: 2,500
- Number of bars: 20
- Fee: $225 ($150 after selling 15 cups)
This crawl will again feature pirate encampments – a huge draw this last year – and we’ve moved it to August to line up with the end of Pirate Festival season so we can get even more out-of-town guests. Numbers have gone up every year since we started hosting it.
Zombie Crawl on October 22nd
- Expected attendance: 15,000
- Number of bars: 55
- Fee: $450 ($200 after selling 50 cups)
No explanation needed. Totally awesome.
Steampunk Stroll on November 19th
- Expected attendance: 750
- Number of bars: 6
- Fee: $200 ($50 after selling 5 premium cups)
Steampunk (a mixture of old Victorian style with a futuristic vibe) is one of the fastest growing genres, with even a Steam-themed cafe that opened at the University recently. This crawl is different from all the rest. It’ll be our year-end at Crawl Reno so we put a lot of theatrics into it by hiring brass bands and entertainers to parade through the streets. It’s a smaller crawl but it has a dedicated fan base who creates incredibly unique costumes, and the drink specials, like the cups can cost more because they’re premium.
Event Requirements
What do we expect from participating venues?
Each event includes some standard things we require for participation. Here’s what to expect:
- PARTICIPATION FEES (listed above): in order to participate, we will charge you a fee and give you some free cups that you can sell to recover costs. These fees will be due approximately 30 days before the event.
- PROMOTING THE CRAWL: We ask that you promote the event online and display posters we deliver to you
- SPECIALS: We require a discounted beer special and a discounted drink special. Most of the time they are $3 for each, but you can also include others. The Steampunk Crawl specials are allowed to be more expensive as long as they are premium specials.
- DUE DILIGENCE: check IDs at the door and at the bar and keep (provided) open container barrels out front of your location
- Full requirements explained in annual contracts
New Sign Up Process Explained
Step 1: Fill out the crawl interest form
Don’t delay, as many of these crawls will have more bars interested in them than we have spaces available.
Step 2: We will send you an annual contract
Your annual contract will list what crawls you are invited to participate in, when payment is due and what is required of your bar.
Step 3: Fill out your annual contract
The sooner you fill it out the sooner you secure your spaces on the crawls you’re interested in and we can solidify the routes and begin making maps and marketing pieces!
Step 4: Payment and Map Info
- Payment will be due approximately 30 days before each event
- Map info will be due approximately 35 days before each event
