A GUIDE TO SOME COMMON-SENSE WAYS TO STAY HEALTHY!

Hey crawlers! Here’s some best practices we’ve gathered from the Washoe County Health District and the CDC that we’d like to share so everyone can keep enjoying a healthy, happy time going out!

WASH YOUR HANDS

Proper and frequent hand washing is one of the best ways to keep healthy. Wash using soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

AVOID YOUR FACE

As much as possible, don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

USE APPROPRIATE SOCIAL DISTANCE

Rather than shaking hands, why not use an elbow bump or a fist bump? Let’s make that a thing!

STAY WELL RESTED

If you’re not feeling 100%, it’s best to stay home and rest. By getting enough sleep and taking care of yourself you can maintain a healthy immune system.

Your health & happiness are important to us, so we’ve been closely watching the information and suggestions put out by health officials.

According to the Washoe County Health District, Reno remains a low risk destination. Neither the Health District nor the CDC have advised to quit having gatherings like concerts or events, or to quit going out. Although the CDC has said that folks over 60 years old may want to take it easy.

They do say to use your best judgement regarding travel or going out and have offered best practices like these to protect yourself and others in similar ways that you would avoid the flu.

This is by no means exhaustive but you can find more information at Washoe County Health District and the Center for Disease Prevention (CDC).

We will continue to monitor the situation and stay in touch. Any updates will be posted here on Crawl Reno first!

In the meantime, if you have a second please consider sharing this so that we can get the word out.

Thank you!
